MBA ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
The following are the basic requirements to be admitted to the LSB Weekend-MBA program:
- FIRST UNIVERSITY DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT
A Bachelor degree or equivalent is a prerequisite for signing up for our Weekend-MBA program. Applicants with degrees in all disciplines are welcome.
- MINIMUM TWO YEARS OF WORK EXPERIENCE
An important feature of our MBA experience is that our student body has knowledge of the professional world, as demonstrated by work experience of 2 years minimum.
- ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
If you have worked in an intensively English speaking environment for at least 2 years please provide one of the following documents: recommendation from your superior or example of a publication you have produced.
If you have not worked in an English speaking environment for at least 2 years and are not a native English speaker please provide proof of English proficiency: Transcript of your TOEFL Score (Minimum Requirement: Paper Based: 550, Internet Based: 85) or IELTS Score (Minimum Requirement: 7.0)
- ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
There are no prerequisite courses for admission. It is expected that students have some knowledge of mathematics, including basic calculus. If you have basic math knowledge but need some practice, LSB will be organizing workshops prior to the start of the academic program.
WHO DO WE LOOK FOR?
We look for applicants who possess a number of key characteristics: strong intellectual ability and academic record leadership, initiative, and impact as evidenced through professional achievements, extracurricular activities, recommendation letters, and personal essays.
The Weekend-MBA program at LSB starts in September of each year.
Luxembourg School of Business shall start accepting the applications for the MBA programs starting in September 2019 as of the 1st of November, 2018.
The overall application procedure consists of four simple steps, as outlined below:
1) Fill out the online application form
2) Send supporting documentation by standard mail (i.e. certified transcripts, diplomas) or via email (scanned originals)
– A scan of ID/Passport
– Updated CV
– Proof of relevant work experience in an English speaking environment (LSB also accepts TOEFL score of 587 Paper Based, 240 Computer-based, 95 Internet Based or IELTS score of 7.0)
– Undergraduate and/or graduate transcripts (certified copies)
– One letter of recommendation (academic or work related)
– A short letter of motivation (up to one page)
3) Send proof of payment of application fee (EUR 100,-).

4) Final interview
Once approved by the admissions committee, the candidate will be invited for an interview. The interview represents the final stage of the admissions process.

*Due to the number of applicants and limited spaces we encourage you to complete your online application before the second round to have a guaranteed place. Applications are reviewed by our Admissions Committee upon reception.
Tuition Payment Schedule for the Weekend-MBA Program:
- EUR 1,900 (to be paid within 15 days of the notice of admission)
- EUR 6,100 (to be paid before 18 August 2019)
- EUR 5,500 (to be paid before the start of the first module)
- EUR 5,500 (to be paid before the start of the second module)
- EUR 5,500 (to be paid before the start of the third module)
- EUR 5,500 (to be paid before the start of the fourth module)
VISAS / IMMIGRATION
If you are from a different country than Luxembourg, you may need a permit to stay in the country.
EU and EEA citizens are free to stay, study and work in Luxembourg, that is to say, they do not need to ask for a visa.
Non-EEA citizens need to ask for a visa to travel to Luxembourg.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers authorizations to stay and travel visas, if necessary.

Do I need to have a bachelor degree in economics or management to be eligible for admission to the MBA program/the Certificate Programs?
No. Individuals who hold a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent university degree in any academic discipline from an accredited college or university will be considered for admission to the Master of Business Administration program and the Certificate Programs.
What are the documents I need to file with my application for an MBA program?
Please consult the Admission Requirements (on this page). All the documents can be submitted directly through the on-line application form.
Do I need to pass the GMAT or GRE for admission to LSB?
No, GMAT is not required. However if the applicant has passed either of these tests, they can be submitted for consideration.
